He started his career playing for the Victory youth sports club; he played there for a couple of years, and moved to the Victory Sports Club senior division. Because of his performance he became one of the main players for the club. He is commonly known as “Isse”. He was unable to attend some of the important matches in his starting season as he was injured several times.
Ismail Mohamed also got an opportunity to sign his contract with Maldives National football team. He is famous for his skills like dribbling, crossing and pace abilities. In the year 2007 he signed his new contract with Victory Sports Club. Further he became one of the main players for the Club, along with Ismail Anil and Imran Mohammed. He is not only a famous player in the team, but also he is known as the best left-footed player, who currently plays for the Maldives national Football Team.
